Matt Hopley

Matthew is a self-taught woodturner who discovered his passion during the pandemic in 2021. On a journey of constant self-discovery and improvement, his affinity for nature, trees and his love of working with wood was ignited.

Matthew harvests his wood locally around Powys. This includes trees that have naturally fallen, are cut down by forestry commission’s tree surgeons, or from generously donated logs. He aims to encapsulate as much natural beauty as possible within his products to then share with others.
